San Antonio will soon select a new mayor to lead our city. With Phil Hardberger's outstanding leadership over the last four years, we must select someone who can continue his vision and progress. We also need a leader who has proven experience at City Hall that can build consensus.
We are convinced that Julián Castro is that leader. We ask you to join us in supporting Julián Castro for mayor of San Antonio.
Julián, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University with honors and distinction in 1996, and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 2000. Julián returned to San Antonio, committed to his hometown with a sense of purpose and vision to foster prosperity for our community.
In 2001, Julián was elected to the City Council where he learned the inner workings of the city’s services and the importance of strong leadership for continued growth and progress. This experience provides a solid foundation.
Julián will continue to build on Phil's accomplishments and bring new energy to City Hall. Julián’s highest priority as mayor will be to keep San Antonio’s economy growing. He wants to forge a strong partnership with the business community and work closely with City Manager Sheryl Sculley to attract and retain jobs.
