Fixing the 281 corridor under the originally funded program of overpasses should be a high priority. The continuing growth in that area without any improvements is hurting San Antonio.

I just came from visiting my hometown, I realized how dirty it is compared to other major cities I have visited. It is time those living in San Antonio-
to become more responsible for the state of the city. If you see litter, pick it up- no matter who dropped it. Form groups that are responsible to clean
up and maintain sections of the highway and interstates. In the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, businesses and organizations do this for goodwill
advertising. For example, USAA could opt to maintain a section of the 35 in the opposite side of town it's in and UTHSC would pick up a tract next to it
where student organizations can volunteer to keep the area clean. San Antonio should not be as dirty as I just saw it, I am ashamed to bring my husband
to visit next year. I hope, Mr. Castro, you will be able to lead San Antonio down a brighter, cleaner path so that you may continue to grow- welcoming
both visitors and newer memebers of the family to San Antonio. I hope one day to return and help contribute to this city of which I have so much pride
in.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to voice my opinion.
Sincerely,
Maricela T Castro
